I love seeing shows at the Drunken Unicorn because the people I meet there are great. Thursday I saw a show that featured Lyricism Lives II, Snub Zero, Big RecJawz Of Life, Shred The Verbal Tongue, G.R.E.A.T Scott. KP and Flow. Great show. I forgot how much punk music can feed the soul. It had been awhile since I listened to some bare, dirty punk and it refreashed me. Anyway back to great people. I was standing near the bar talking to my people and a man came up to me and asked me if I danced at the Clairmont Lounge. I was flattered. I was taken to the Clairmont Lounge for my 18'th birthday and was suprised at how attractive and seemingly classy their dancers were. Sadly, I had to tell the man no, since in fact I do not dance at the Clairmont Lounge(or anywhere to be clear). He would not take no for an answer. He insisted he saw me there the previous night and the one before. After inisting for another 5 minutes he told me he was welsh, he wanted a pet but he didn't like responsibilty and that he went through a faze in highschool where he wished he was his dad. After this I told him he should get another drink, he hugged me and said thank you and walked away. Now do not be fooled this man was not the only interesting person I spoke with that night. I talked with a man who was a under-water photographer, and another man who is a triplet and wishes he had autism and then to a man who offered to show me his old vintage radio, which he kept in his car( I think he may have been trying to get me to go to his car with him so he could kidnap me, but oh well, he was interesting). I hope that my descriptions of drunks, triplets and possible abductors does not disuade you from checking out Drunken Unicorn, it really is a safe place. They also have really tasty food. Go there, and ask for the guy who wants autism, he will show you a good time!
