I know my blog is supposed to be concert blogs but I saw a really cool show over the weekend and I thought I would share. On Friday Jan 16 I went to see a preformance by Blast Off Burlesque at the Alcove Art Gallery in Avondale. They truly have their own style and proved to be entertaining to many different types of people. The show started with a silent movie with a James Bond style made by the troupe. It was filmed in Atlanta and it was very amusing to get excited about seeing landmarks I was familier with. The actual show consists of the troupe members preforming individual acts that ranged from a mechanical doll to a hula- hooping unicorn to my personal favorite, a freak show style magic show. The talent of the preformers was amazing and their ability to make pasties and pasties not look sleezy was evident. I would recommend looking up a Blast Off Burlesque show if you love drama, unique performers and lots of nearly naked woman.
